Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Republic Day announced the All India Federation for Social Justice (AIFSJ), which is to be launched soon aiming to achieve principles of federalism and social justice at the national level, The News Minute reported.

Stalin was addressing a webinar titled 'Taking forward the struggle for Social Justice and joint national programme (JNP) for social justice movement' held by some social organisations across India, on Wednesday.

Stalin said that AIFSJ would be represented by leaders of the backward classes in all states, and it would provide suggestions to states to agree to social justice laws.

He said that even though the percentage of backward classes differ among states, the ideology of social justice remains the same. The federations basic idea will be everything for everyone. The path towards social justice was not built on a day but laid over decades bit by bit. It was the fruit of the painful efforts of many, including Dr Natesanar, Dr TM Nair, Sir P Theagarayar, AT Panneerselvam and Panagal Arasar.

He further said that the concept and need for social justice are the same, and he is glad that the seeds of the same sown by the Dravidian movement have sprouted all over India.

Regarding the 27% reservation for OBC in the All India Medical Quota, Stalin said it was a great victory for social justice, but BJP has nothing to do with that. It wasn't achieved easily but the result of battles in people's courts, court of justice, the assembly and in Parliament. The Union government didn't present the reservations to the OBCs and SCs.

The webinar attendees included Bihar Opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav, Dravidar Kazhagam president K Veeramani, and DMK MP P Wilson.
