Ujjain: Bollywood actor Swara Bhasker joined Congress's Bharat Jodo Yatra led by its leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday at Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.

In the photo shared by the official Twitter handle of the Indian National Congress, Swara Bhasker is seen walking along with Rahul Gandhi.

"Today famous actress @ReallySwara became part of #BharatJodoYatra. The presence of every section of the society has made this yatra a success," the tweet read.

Swara Bhasker who is often in the media limelight for being vocal about her opinion on the Centre's policies as well as other topical issues retweeted the post by the party.

Many cinema personalities have expressed their support for Rahul Gandhi's led stride across the Country including Palekar, Sandhya Gokhale, Pooja Bhatt, Riya Sen, Sushant Singh, Mona Ambegaonkar, Rashmi Desai, and Akanksha Puri.

Previously, Hollywood actor John Cusack also expressed his support for the Congress leader's foot march on Twitter.

The march resumed after a day's break from Ujjain and is headed for Agar Malwa, the last district of the Madhya Pradesh leg.

A 380 km distance is expected to cover by the march within 12 days period through the politically crucial Malwa-Nimar region of western Madhya Pradesh after which, it is scheduled to enter Rajasthan on December 4.

It has so far passed through Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone and Indore districts of MP.

The Congress leader-led march started on September 7 and has covered 36 Districts and 7 states so far. A distance of 1209 km is yet to be covered to mark the end of the stride.
