Mumbai: A luxury triplex apartment in a posh area of Mumbai is now owned by the family members of JP Taparia, the industrialist and founder of Famy Care. The apartment was purchased at an exorbitant price of ₹369 crore, reportedly making it the most expensive in the country.

The apartment is located in South Mumbai's Malabar Hill and was previously owned by Macrotech Developers, an entity of the Lodha Group. The apartment boasts a sea view and luxurious amenities.

According to a recent report, the JP Taparia family has purchased a luxurious triplex apartment in Mumbai's Malabar Hill area at a record-breaking price of ₹369 crore. The apartment is located on the 26th, 27th, and 28th floors of Lodha Malabar, a super-luxury residential tower that spans an area of 1.08 acres and is situated by the Arabian Sea and Hanging Gardens.

The triplex itself is spread over 27,160 square feet and was sold at a price of 1.36 lakh per square foot, making it the most expensive residential apartment deal in the country both in terms of total cost and per square foot basis. The purchase also attracted a stamp duty of ₹19.07 crore.

Earlier this month, the Bajaj Auto chairman, Niraj Bajaj, also purchased a luxurious sea-facing triplex penthouse in the same building at a cost of ₹252.5 crore. The penthouse is located on the 29th, 30th, and 31st floors of the Lodha Malabar Palaces project and has a total area of 18,008 square feet, as well as eight car parking slots. The stamp duty paid for this deal was ₹15.5 crore.

The agreement to sell the triplex apartment to the JP Taparia family was registered on March 13, 2013.
