Srinagar: Law PE Kiren Rijiju, whose car was struck by a truck on Saturday in Jammu and Kashmir, escaped unharmed, police have reported.

On the Jammu-Srinagar highway near Ramban, a fully loaded truck allegedly struck his vehicle, according to police.

"While going from Jammu to Srinagar by road, Union Minister for Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju's car met with a minor accident. No one was injured in the accident. Honourable minister was driven safely to his destination," said police, NDTV reported.

Security personnel can be seen rushing to open the doors of the Minister's black Scorpio and removing passengers in a video of the incident.

Pictures depict the Minister getting out of the car while numerous security personnel are on hand.
