Uma Bharathi urges BJP national president to ban alcohol in BJP-ruled states. Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Uma Bharati' reaction came following the reports that the number of liquor shops in Madhya Pradesh will be increasing. Uma Bharti made the suggestion in about eight consecutive tweets.

Uma Bharti said that the liquor ban had helped JDU president Nitish Kumar win the Bihar elections. Liquor was banned during the lockdown. To make these moves clear, she also pointed out that COVID causes death, but no one dies for not getting alcohol.

Uma Bharathi tweeted that the use of administrative systems to increase the number of bars was tantamount to 'poisoning the child by the mother herself'. Alcohol is one big reason for crimes against women and children. Therefore, she demanded that the government should go through a non-alcohol means in order to increase taxes.
