Jaipur: What will be your response if your boss catches you red-handed for the absence and delay in the work? A surprise inspection by Zonal Chief Engineer B.S. Bairwa at the Discom Jaipur office confronted a rather bizarre response from a Commercial Officer who held his boss accountable for his own irresponsibility.

The inspection resulted in the issuance of a show cause order to Commercial Officer Ajith Singh, who was found absent during the surprise visit.

When confronted about his absence, Ajith Singh pointed fingers at Zonal Chief Engineer B.S. Bairwa, holding him accountable for his own lack of punctuality. The Commercial Officer's response garnered attention due to its slightly disrespectful demeanour, which subsequently went viral and sparked discussions about the alleged inefficiency of the Zonal Chief Engineer.

According to sources, the junior employee who was found absent during the inspection responded to the order, claiming that his tardiness was a direct result of the Chief Engineer's own habitual lateness.

The junior employee's written response read, "You yourself never come on time, that's why I also do not come on time." This exchange brought to the forefront the issue of leadership accountability within the department.

Adding to the concerns raised during the inspection, it was discovered that a total of 60 workers were absent on the same day, indicating a systemic failure in ensuring that employees show up for work.

Commercial Officer Ajith Singh secured his position in Kota through the Ex-Servicemen Quota and has remained posted in the same location for the past four years.
