Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) head Mayawati said she would not accept any party's offer to make her President. She said that BJP, as well as RSS, had been spreading false propaganda to mislead her followers, that she will be made President if BJP comes to power in Uttar Pradesh, PTI reported.

Mayawati said that she is a staunch disciple of Kanshi Ram, who had refused the post in the past.

Mayawati asked how she could accept the post knowing that it could destroy her party. She told her party members that she would never accept such an offer.

The four-time former UP chief minister said she would spend her remaining life strengthening the party across the country, urging her supporters not to become disheartened.

She alleged that in the latest election, BJP spread propaganda through well-worked-out strategy and conspiracy. BJP had claimed that if BSP has not come to power, it will make her Indian President, she said.

President Ram Nath Kovind's term is to end on July 24.

In a state-level meeting of her party, Mayawati said instead of providing job opportunities, BJP had given out free ration and made the poor helpless and enslaved them.

She said that she wanted all the castes in the Dalit community to be taken out of Hindutva and brought back to the BSP.

She added that SP could neither come to power in UP nor stop BJP from winning and claimed that Muslims are now repenting voting for the SP. She asked Muslims not to repeat the mistake.

She added that she is planning for a struggle with all the castist, capitalist and feudal forces to bring her party to power.

The BSP could grab only one seat out of 403 in the UP Assembly elections 2022. It had won 19 in 2017.
