Kabul: A bomb attack targeted a NATO convoy in Afghanistan's Parwan province and casualties, if any, remain unknown, a security official said Saturday.
"An improvised explosive device (IED) planted under a bridge went off in Bagram district late Friday night," the official told Xinhua.
"The attack took place when the convoy was passing by the area, and the bridge was destroyed as a result of the blast," the official said.
The Taliban insurgent group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
"Our security forces confirmed the explosion but we still cannot provide details on potential casualties," the official added.
