Kathmandu: Hundreds of thousands of people across Nepal fled from their homes and offices after a strong earthquake shook buildings, reminding them of the horror of the April 25 temblor.
The earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale on Tuesday caused panic among the residents of Kathmandu, according to eyewitnesses.
Many thousand people had again assembled in parks and open spaces.
"It felt worse than the April earthquake," an eyewitness said.
Strong tremors were felt in north and east India, including Delhi, Srinagar, Amritsar, Guwahati, Lucknow and Jaipur.
Metro services were promptly halted in Delhi.
