Rocket hits Indian ambassadors house in Kabul

Kabul: A rocket crashed into the tennis court of Indian Ambassador Manpreet Vohra's house here on Tuesday.

The attack happened at about 11.15 a.m. in the heavily fortified diplomatic quarter in Kabul which houses a number of embassies. No casualties were reported, Tolo News reported.

Streets in the city centre, especially around the Presidential Palace, the Green Zone and Wazir Akbar Khan, were largely closed off by security forces after the attack. The number of security personnel on the streets were also quickly increased.

The rocket attack comes as representatives from over 20 countries are meeting in Kabul for a peace conference.
