Kochi: CPI-M state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday said K B Ganesh Kumar of Kerala Congress (B), who raised corruption charges against the Public Works Department Ministry headed by V K Ibrahim Kunju, should disclose the evidences to back his claims.

“Ganesh Kumar should disclose the data to prove his allegations. The government should take the accusations serious and order a probe,” Vijayan told reporters here adding, “The UDF cabinet is immersed in a stream of corruption allegations.

Congress-led UDF government faced embarrassment in the Assembly on Tuesday after Ganesh Kumar MLA raised corruption charges against the Muslim Minister.

Ganesh, who is not in good terms with the UDF after his exit from the Ministry last year, alleged that "the PWD Ministry is immersed in corruption."

He alleged that three members in the Minister's staff indulged in corruption and the minister was not able to check them.

Denying the charges, Ibrahim Kunju alleged Kumar was raising the allegations with certain ulterior motives.
