Thiruvananthapuram: The State government has worked out an action plan to combat adverse effects of climate change in the state, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said here Monday.
'Climate change Action Plan' was being implemented to combat problems caused due to change in weather in the state, he said.
Chandy was speaking at the inauguration of the two-day 'Climate Change-Regional experience sharing meet' organised here.
The financial support and cooperation of experts from international agencies, including city based Institute of Climate Change Studies, the first of its kind in the country, would be taken for the purpose, he said.
Chandy sought the active cooperation of the people to create plans to combat natural disasters.
