Thiruvananthapuram: The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB)Thursday arrested the public prosecutor at the Munsif court, Neyyattinkara, while taking a bribe of Rs. 50,000 from a business man.

Sources said Advocate Shajudheen, the public prosecutor, had demanded Rs. 1 lakh as bribe from the business man and he was arrested while receiving a bribe of Rs. 50,000.

The vigilance sleuths also carried out a raid at the public prosecutor’s office at the court following the arrest.
