Thiruvananthapuram: In an indirect jibe at Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on the liquor policy issue, KPCC president V.M Sudheeran Tuesday has said there is no assurance that those who are with us while in power will always be with us.

“Nobody should think that everything is in our hold. Those who are with us while in power need not be with us always,” Sudheeran said at an event organised by the Congress on the occasion of the fourth death anniversary of K. Karunakaran at Indira Bhavan here.

“K. Karunakaran had faced the same crisis. His life is an example for us,” he said.

Sudheeran also came down heavily on senior Congress leader K. Muraleedharan, saying that the latter should not forget the past.

“I was one among the three leaders who argued for the re-induction of Muraleedharan into the Congress party. He may have forgotten that,” Sudheeran said.

On Sunday, Muraleedharan had criticised the KPCC president for his adamant stand on the liquor policy.
