Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Congress (B) chairman R Balakrishna Pillai Tuesday distanced himself from the charges raised by K B Ganesh Kumar, MLA, against the Public Works department, saying that it was not of party’s view.
“It was wrong on the part of Ganesh Kumar, who raised allegations against the Public Works department. What he said was his personal view, not the view of the party,” Balakrishna Pillai told reporters.
“The party had directed Ganesh not to raise charges in the Assembly. But he violated the party’s direction in this regard,” said Pillai.
“The party’s secretariat will discuss and decide whether to take any disciplinary action against him in the wake of the incident,” he said.
Ganesh Kumar is the lone representative in the house of the Kerala Congress (Pillai). He has been cut up with the ruling United Democratic Front since he lost his job as a minister following a domestic row last year.
