Thiruvananthapuram: CPI (M) State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday alleged the government and the bar lobby were hand in glove in the bar bribe issue.
“Efforts are on to fizzle out the bar bribe issue. There is no doubt that UDF had received a big amount as bribe from the bar owners. The truth should come out in the issue,” Pinarayi told reporters here.
Pinarayi also demanded Chief Minister Oommen Chandy to resign and face probe in the wake of the judicial commission’s decision to include all allegations levelled against the Chief Minister's office in the ambit of probe into the solar case.
“The Opposition has been insisting to bring Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and his office in the ambit of probe. The move seems that the judicial commission has now understood our demand,” he said.
