Bakers for world record in cake making

Thrissur: In an effort to make World record in cake making, Bakers Association Kerala would exhibit a 600 feet long cake weighing two tons here on October 31 in connection with the 131st anniversary of cake making in India.

A three-day "Bake Expo-14" would also be held here from October 30, Associations State President P M Sankaran told newsmen here today.

Chefs and bakers with 1000 cakes baked in Kerala and about 300 companies from India and abroad would be participating in the Expo, Sankaran said.

As part of the 129th anniversary of cake manufacturing, a 353.5 ft long vegetarian cake was made and exhibited in 2012 at Thalassery, he said.
