Kochi blackmail case: Jayachandran granted bail

Kochi: V Jayachandran, accused of soliciting sex from various people and blackmailing them using videos of their interactions, has been granted bail by the High Court.

Jayachandran was given bail on Tuesday in a case of abetment of suicide registered in Thiruvananthapuram.

Since he has secured bail in other cases filed against him, he is expected to be out of jail soon.

According to the police, Jayachandran had used his connections to draw people into the blackmail racket. He was also an accused in a case of gang rape registered at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College police station and had been identified by the victim.
