Kasargod: An activist of BJP has been held over the murder of Muralidharan (35), an activist of CPI-M’s youth wing Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI).
Midhun, a resident of Kumbala here, was taken to custody on Wednesday morning.
The police are in look out for the main accused, Sharat.
Muralidharan, son of Ramankutty, was stabbed to death at 4:35 pm on Monday allegedly by RSS-BJP supporters near Seethngoli under Kumbla police station sparking fresh political friction between the rival parties.
He was stabbed by a four-member group as he, along with his friend was riding in a two-wheeler near Apasara Mill near Seethangoli. He succumbed to injuries on the spot.
