Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader V.S Achuthanandan on Wednesday demanded that Chief Minister Oommen Chandy should apologise for his government’s decision to increase taxes.
“The recent imposition of tax hike is similar to that of dictatorial decisions during the times of British rule. It can’t be accepted. The Chief Minister should apologise for it,” Achuthanandan said.
“Chief Minister Ommen Chandy will face the same fate of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha in the corruption cases,” he said.
