New Delhi: Finance Minister K.M Mani Friday has said he is not a coward to step down from the post when someone raises allegations against him.
“I won’t bow down to the allegations. I will never approach the court seeking to cancel the FIR filed against me in the bar bribery case,” Mani was talking to the media after taking the charge as the chairman of the Empowered Committee of State Finance Ministers on Goods and Services Tax (GST).
“I was chosen for the post as a recognition of my 50 years of service in the field. The LDF is creating unnecessary controversies over it,” he said.
“My last visit to US was five years back. I had submitted my asset details to the Chief Minister before taking the oath as minister. Anyone can examine it,” Mani said when reporters asked about P.C George’s remarks against him.
