Thiruvananthapuram: The Vigilance director has sought a report from the investigation officer probing the bar bribery scandal on the secret statement given by bar owner Biju Ramesh in the case.
Vigilance director Vinson M Paul asked the investigation officer to submit a report on Biju’s statement after examining whether there is any fresh revelation in it.
In the statement, which was leaked to TV channels Wednesday, Biju claimed that Finance Minister K.M Mani, Excise Minister K. Babu and Health Minister V.S Shivakumar had received bribes from the bar owners.
It was on March 30 Biju Ramesh gave a secret statement before the judicial first class magistrate court in the bar bribery case.
