Thiruvananthapuram: Minister for Non-Resident Keralites Affairs K C Joseph has said the government is trying to bring back all the stranded Keralites from Nepal.
“The government is doing everything possible to bring back all the stranded Keralites from Nepal. The exact number of Keralites stranded in Nepal is not available. Many of them have gone there as part of package tour,” the minister told reporters.
“The Chief Minister has intervened to bring back Dr Abhin Surya. All arrangements have been made for the returnees to stay at the Kerala House, New Delhi,” he said.
As of now, IAF has evacuated 1,935 stranded Indians from earthquake-hit Nepal.
