Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Secretary Jiji Thomson Friday held talks with Archbishop M Soosai Pakiam to resolve concerns over the Vizhinjam project.
Santosh Mahapatra, Adani group’s Kerala representative, also accompanied him during the talks.
Archbishop M Soosai Pakiam, in a pastoral letter, had said that the Vizhinjam port project, in its present form, would adversely impact the coast and the coastal communities.
He said that if the government intended to go ahead with the project in its present form, the church would block it ‘at any cost’.
