Thiruvananthapuram: CPI(M) state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan Tuesday has alleged the UDF government’s stance on the upcoming local body election seems emergency-period-like-tactics.

“Efforts are on to sabotage the local body election. It seems like a mini-emergency in Kerala,” Kodiyeri told reporters.

“The UDF government wants the local body election to be extended until the Assembly election. If the election is to be extended, the LDF will oppose it strongly,” he said.
