Vellapally attacks Sonia Gandhi over her speech at Sivagiri Mutt

Kollam: Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana Sangam (SNDP) yogam general secretary Vellapally Natesan on Thursday came out against the UDF government and Congress president Sonia Gandhi over her speech at Sivagiri Mutt.
“Sonia Gandhi made the Sivagiri Mutt as a platform for her political campaign. She ‘polluted’ the holy place with her political speech,” Vellapally said mentioning Gandhi’s inaugural address at the 83rd annual pilgrimage at Narayana Guru's abode at Sivagiri Mutt in Varkarla on Wednesday.
The Ezhava leader said he was criticized because he did not support the Congress.
“Sonia Gandhi belittled herself with the speech. She does not know anything about Sivagiri Mutt. She just reads out the speech someone wrote for her. SNDP is not an ally of the Congress. It is not Sonia who decides whom SNDP should collaborate with,” Vellapally said.
