Kochi: In a first of its kind project in Kerala, a new booklet meant to be a practical guide for violence against women was launched here on Saturday.

The commission is conducting workshops across the state for five days, starting on Sunday, aimed at sensitising, empowering officers (legal, police, judicial) who have a bearing on preventing and tackling violence against women.

It expects through this innovative project, about 130 officers taking part in the workshops will influence speedier and improved access to justice for women, the release said.
