New Delhi: Minister for Electricity Aryadan Muhammed Wednesday said the state government was not ready for any controversy on the proposed Athirapally hydroelectric project.
“The government will go ahead with the project only after taking into account the concerns of the Opposition parties and the environmental activists,” Aryadan told reporters in Delhi.
“The Central government has given approval for the hydro-electric project at Athirapally,” he said.
“The hydro-electric projects are the best options for the state as it requires an excess of 8 percent electricity in each year,” said the minister.
