C F Thomas right person to become minister if Mani resigns: P.C George

Kottayam: Chief Whip P.C George Saturday has said Kerala Congress (M) leader C F Thomas, MLA, is the right person to become the minister if K.M Mani resigns from the post over the bar bribery charges.
“C.F Thomas is the right person to become the minister if Mani resigns from the post. There are many MLAs in the Kerala Congress (M) who are eligible to become ministers. The ministerial post is not a succession right,” P.C George told a news channel.
Criticising P.C George for his remarks, Antony Raju, a leader of P.J Joseph faction, said that it was only his personal view, not of the party.
“The party has not yet discussed anything related to replacement of K.M Mani. Party leaders should not make public remarks over the controversy,” Antony Raju said.
Meanwhile, C F Thomas came out in support of K.M Mani, who is facing the heat over the bar bribery allegation.
“No circumstance has arrived to replace Mani from the ministerial post,” he said.
