Thiruvananthapuram: A probe team led by Vigilance ADGP Jacob Thomas, investigating the land scam in Pattoor, has found irregularities in the deal.

In an investigation report, submitted to the government on Friday, the ADGP has reportedly named District Collector Biju Prabhakar and 14 other officials, including former Collector, guilty of corruption.

The Lok Ayukta has reportedly registered a case based on the report.

The Lok Ayukta, in July last year, ordered a vigilance probe into the alleged land scam in Pattoor and asked Jacob Thomas to submit a probe report.

The Lok Ayukta, after going through documents related to the scam, had observed that they were convinced that certain public servants were guilty of corruption, favouritism and illegalities.

The construction of a multi-storied building at Pattoor by Avruthi Mall has been in the eye of a storm following a complaint by the Kerala Water Authority that the builder had encroached on 16.5 cents of purambokku (revenue) land through which pipeline had been laid.
