Additional Advocate General PC Ipe dies

Kochi: Additional Advocate General P C Ipe passed away following cardiac arrest at a private hospital here on Friday.

Ipe, an eminent lawyer, took charge as the Additional Advocate General in 2011.

He served as the State Attorney at the High Court from 2001 to 2006. He was the Ernakulam district government pleader from 1993 to 1997.

Ipe had also served as the prosecutor of the Customs and Standing Counsel of the BSNL.

A member of famous Putherikkal clan in Ernakulam, he is survived by his wife Jaya and son Adv. Cyriac Ipe.

The funeral will take place at St Mary's Cathedral Basilica at 3 pm on Friday.
