Thiruvananthapuram: The two-day State-wide strike called by a section of public sector bank employees from Wednesday has been called off.
The decision is following a talk by the officials of All India Bank Officer’s Confederation (AIBOC) with Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala here on Tuesday.
A section of public sector bank employees had decided to go on a strike to press Dhanlaxmi Bank to revoke the termination of union leader Mohanan P V.
The discussion with the minister also led to the Dhanlaxmi Bank employees deciding to call off the indefinite hunger strike they had been holding for over a month.
Many public sector banks had issued advisory to its customers that business may be affected due to strike call given by the AIBOC.
