Idukki: The High Range Samrakshana Samithi (HRSS) has called a 12-hour hartal in the district on Monday to protest against a report submitted by the state Forest Department to the Centre.
The state Forest Department had submitted a report to the Centre identifying most of the areas of the district as Ecologically Sensitive Areas.
The Left Democratic Front (LDF) has also lent its support to the hartal.
The shut-down is from 6 am to 6 pm.
