Bengaluru: The Karnataka government on Thursday said that the trial of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Abdul Nasser Ma’dani, accused in the 2008 Bangalore bomb blast case, would be completed within three months.
The new development came as the Supreme Court is all set to consider a plea by Ma’dani seeking relaxation in his bail conditions in the view of the delay in the trial of the case.
The Public Prosecutor submitted at the NIA court here that the testimony of the remaining 90 witnesses would be recorded in three months.
Meanwhile, Ma’dani’s counsels said that the Karnataka government’s new affidavit at the NIA court was an attempt to sabotage the PDP leader’s plea at the Supreme Court.
