Thiruvananthapuram: Actor Mammootty has come out in support of the makers of the latest Malalyalam blockbuster “Premam” seeking action against those who circulate the pirated copies of the film.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, the actor expressed his solidarity with the Premam team.
“Stop Piracy! You don't want us to steal ideas, don't steal our films! Give every film it's due ! I support Anwar and Team Premam. Good luck to Nivin and Alphonse and everyone from Premam,” Mammootty said.
Earlier, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala had asked the anti-piracy cell of the police to take strict action against the circulation of pirated copies of the new flick.
The police have decided to interrogate the crewmembers and the persons engaged from editing to censuring of the film in connection with the leak.
The police had, on Thursday, arrested eight persons for spreading the pirated copy of the film.
