Three killed, one seriously injured in road accidents

Kozhikode: Three persons, including a woman, were killed and another person seriously injured in two road accidents Tuesday at Koilandy near here and at Thalassery in Kannur district, police said.

Sindhu (45) and her son Vishnu (24) were killed when their car collided with a lorry at Thalassery, police said.

They were returning after offering worship at Guruvayur temple when the accident occurred. The seriously injured car driver Babu (30) has been admitted to Pariyaram Medical College hospital near Kannur, police said.

In the accident at Koilandy, K K Koya (55) an officer bearer of the Kerala Bus Owners Association died on the spot when his two wheeler was hit by a private bus, police said.
