Solar case: Chandy says Opposition allegations proved wrong

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Wednesday said that the allegations raised by the Opposition in connection with the solar scam case have been proved wrong.
“It has been proved that the CPI-M was raising false allegations against the UDF in connection with the solar case. That is why the people are not paying any heed to their claims,” Chandy said at a press conference after the Cabinet meeting.
He asked why those raising the allegations didn’t join the case. “That shows their accusations are wrong.”
“The LDF cannot bag votes in Aruvikkara just by raising some allegations against the UDF. The stand taken by P C George and R Balakrishna Pillai will play in favour of the UDF in the election,” Chandy said adding that the exit-poll results indicated a clear win for the Front.
