Thiruvananthapuram: The CPI (M)-led LDF Opposition on Wednesday has alleged that the government and the police are hand in glove to shield controversial businessman Muhammed Nisam.
The adjournment motion was moved by Baby M Palissery MLA.
The Opposition questioned why Nisam's wife was not arrested till now and also alleged that the security guard's blood-stained clothes were destroyed by the police.
In reply to it, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has said a comprehensive investigation is going on into the Chandrabose murder case. “The probe team will examine Nisam's financial irregularities,” he said.
Following the Home Minister’s reply, their adjournment motion was rejected and the entire Opposition staged a walkout in the Assembly.
