Thrissur: The judicial first class magistrate court at Kunnamkulam Thursday extended the remand of murder accused businessman Mohammed Nisham till April 7.
His bail plea was earlier rejected by the court.
Nisham was brought in the court from the Viyyur Central Prison in Thrissur, where he was lodged Tuesday evening.
On Monday, he was shifted to the central jail in Kannur amid allegations of VIP treatment given to him in Viyyur Central Prison in Thrissur.
Nisham was arrested after he allegedly rammed his Hummer into security guard K Chandrabose (50) on January 29, before hitting him with an iron rod. The injured guard died in a hospital on February 16.
