Thiruvananthapuram: In a fresh development in the inter-party trouble that has been crippling the Kerala Congress (M) ever since its chief K M Mani was accused bribery, the party’s parliamentary party meeting held here on Thursday has decided to seek ouster of its ‘rebel’ leader P G George as government Chief Whip.
Following the decision, party supremo K M Mani and senior leader P J Joseph have reportedly asked Chief Minister Oommen Chandy to ouster George from the post.
Reacting to the queries of the media persons, George said it was undemocratic that he, being an MLA, was not invited to the meeting.
“Mani sir just needs to make a phone call to me if he wants me to step down. But what the party has done now is unethical,” George said.
