Mani tried to destroy me politically: P.C George

Kottayam: Chief Whip P.C George Saturday said Kerala Congress (M) chief and Finance Minister K.M Mani had tried to destroy him politically.
“Mani has been trying to destroy me politically since 1977. All those who had stood with Mani now have only to say the same apathy. P.J Joseph is not an exception,” George told reporters at his residence here.
“I didn’t try to destabilise the ruling UDF coalition. Whatever remarks I made so far are with the acknowledgement of Mani. If my remarks have destabilised the UDF, Mani too has the same responsibility in that,” he said.
“I will abide by any decision to be taken by the UDF leadership,” he added.
In another development, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy this morning held talks with senior Congress leader A.K Antony. Chandy, however, declined to comment anything regarding the talks.
