New Delhi: Rejecting the public remarks made by Opposition leader V.S Achuthanandan against the party leadership, the CPI(M) politburo Monday issues a statement terming it as baseless and wrong.
“Such public utterances are not in the interests of the party,” the statement said.
The CPI(M) veteran Sunday courted a fresh controversy by blaming the wrong policies of the CPI(M) leaderships.
‘’The LDF received a setback when the Janata Dal and the RSP left the front owing to the ill-treatment meted out to them by the Front and the CPI(M). The party’s new leadership after 2004 is responsible for weakening the Front,’’ VS told a news channel.
He said that the secular parties should be brought back to the Front to strengthen it.
“The internal criticism in the party should not be seen as a rebel voice. It would only help the opponents,” he said.
