No preliminary probe against PWD minister: Chennithala

Thiruvananthapuram: Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala Saturday has said there is no need to seek a quick information report on the complaint filed by Ganesh Kumar in the Lok Ayukta against state Public Works Minister V K Ibrahim Kunju.

“There is no need to seek a quick information report on the complaint filed against Ibrahim Kunju. Ganesh filed his complaint against the minister in the Lok Ayukta. Let them probe it,” he told reporters.

Continuing his tirade against IUML leader and state Public Works Minister V K Ibrahim Kunju, Kerala Congress (B) MLA K B Ganesh Kumar had sought a probe into his assets and gave a statement against the minister to the Lok Ayukta.

Ganesh alleged corruption in awarding of works by the PWD ministry and claimed that he had solid evidence to support his charges.

Ibrahim Kunju, however, termed as "baseless" the allegations levelled against him, saying was only trying to tarnish his image.

He had said he would face the challenges legally and politically.
