Kozhikode: IUML general secretary K.P.A Majeed Sunday said the CPI has expressed their willingness to join the UDF.

“If due consideration and a merited post are given, they will soon be part of the UDF,” Majeed told reporters.

“Talks were held with the CPI leaders in this regard,” he said.

Meanwhile, CPI leader and former minister Binoy Viswam denied Majeed’s claims saying that it showed the political crisis faced by the Muslim League in the state.

“The CPI is a party with national vision. Those who know the CPI well won’t believe such claims. Majeed should have shown some maturity while making such remarks,” he said.
