Thiruvananthapuram: Four bar-owners have decided not to undergo a lie-detector test in connection with the bar bribery case.
Bar owners and office-bearers of the Kerala Bar Hotels Association Rajkumar Unni, M D Dhanesh, John Kallat, and P N Krishnadas took the decision following a medical test and a legal advice they received on the matter.
They will convey the decision to the Vigilance court on Monday through their counsels.
The court had asked them to inform the decision before May 25.
Earlier, the Vigilance team probing the bar bribery case had sought court permission to conduct lie-detector test on six person, including one Sreevalsan and Ambili, who is the driver of whistleblower Biju Ramesh.
Sreevalsan had already refused to undergo the test while Ambili, the key witness in the case, successfully passed the test conducted by the Vigilance on Sunday.
