Woman gang-raped at Peerumedu

Idukki: A woman was gang-raped allegedly by her boyfriend and his two friends at Peerumedu near here.

As per reports, the woman was raped in a moving vehicle and dumped off by the gang Thursday night.

The incident came to light when some autorikshaw drivers found her in a weak condition.

She was taken to the Taluk Hospital at Peerumedu by the rescuers. The hospital officials said that the condition of the victim was stable, despite some body injuries.

The police have recorded the victim’s statement and launched an investigation.
