Not responsible for UDF’s defeat in Kannur: K. Sudhakaran

Kannur: Congress leader K.Sudhakaran Friday said he was not responsible for the defeat of the UDF in Kannur.

“The party had not given me any duty related to the election to the local bodies. The KPCC had formed a committee to deal the matter. I’m not responsible for the party’s defeat in the district," Sudhakaran told reports at the press conference.

"There is a caucus behind P.K Ragesh. The Congress lost three seats due to Ragesh's action of contesting rebels. It is natural to cut a tree which is about to fall on the house," he said.

Sudhakaran also said that M.M Hassan's remark on the UDF candidates’ selection in Kannur was wrong.

“His remark had created confusion among the party workers,” he said.
