Thiruvananthapuram: The police have nabbed the accused in the D B College incident, in which a 19-year-old student suffered serious head injuries after she was hit by a motorbike.

Hari Kumar, 20, of Kakkakunnu, was Thursday nabbed in Ernakulam by the police.

The incident happened around 4.30 pm on Tuesday.

Saina, a second year BA Hindi student, was returning home with her friends after an examination when a motorbike driven by Hari Kumar hit her near the first gate of the college.

It was during 'Onam' celebrations in August this year thata jeep being driven by a student of Government Engineering College here had mowed down a girl student, killing her on the spot.
