Kozhikode: Unidentified persons destroyed the memorial of slain Revolutionary Marxist Party (RMP) leader T P Chandrasekharan at Vallikkad in the district Tuesday.

The memorial was found vandalised in the wee hours.

RSP leaders alleged that CPI(M) activists were behind the attack. The CPI(M), however, rejected the allegation.

It was for the second time the memorial came under the attack in a year.

The memorial was erected by party loyalists at Vallikkaad near Vadakara, where Chandrasekheran, a former CPI-Mleader, was hacked to death in May 2012.
