Thiruvananthapuram: Notorious criminal Aadu Antony, who was arrested on Tuesday from Gopalapuram in Palakkad, will be produced in court today.
As per reports, the police will seek the custody of Antony for two weeks at the Magistrate Court at Paravur in Kollam.
After a massive manhunt across various states and Nepal for the past three years, the State Police Tuesday arrested Antony Varghese alias Aadu Antony, an absconding accused, who had stabbed to death a policeman and grievously injured another at Kollam in 2012.
Antony, who is wanted in at least 200 cases, was picked up by police from Gopalapuram on the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border in the wee hours of Tuesday from a house of one of his many wives.
The accused had been on the run after he stabbed to death Maniyan Pillai, who tried to stop him when he tried to escape after grievously wounding a senior police officer on June 26, 2012.
The incident occurred at Kollam when police had stopped a suspicious vehicle and were conducting a search.
Special team of police personnel had been formed to nab the accused soon after the incident.
